Broken Glass

The projected shown is one of if not my favorite project that I have worked on. At this point I have been working on After Effects for a few weeks and was given the project of coming up with a way to draw new students into joining the Graphic Arts Department at Western Carolina University. Each student was given a topic that is taught within the department and to come up with a visual narrative of what said topic would look like. I was given motion design so to prepare I researched what I could do to illustrate how movement can be portrayed within After Effects. I wanted to show that text can be animated in a 2D space but also to change it into a very cool 3D glass shattering effect.
